Help. In 2 years I have only recorded one audio cd and that was 2 years ago. I am trying to record radio programs (wav files) downloaded with Total Recorder onto a cd-r.

I can make a data cd by recording the wav files as data which I can later play off the cd on the computer, but not on a CD player. If I try to record them as an audio cd(I am using Adaptec easy CD creator 3.5c) the process seems to go fine but after the process is completed I
can't access them at all, either by computer or on a CD player. I just
downloaded an upgrade to the software and now it shows me "non-recordable" when I try to look at what I just recorded. Before it showed me the tracks but I couldn't do anything with them. I know I am supposed to close the session after it is recorded but I can't even access it to do it.

I know there is a new platinum version of Easy cd creator but I hate to spend the money when I don't need anything fancy I just want this one to work. Any help?

Well, you could use a shareware, which there are several. Find one that lets you burn only in 1x until purchased. If you want every player on the planet to read it, burn 1x with gold discs (kodak makes some) and you stand a chance.
or
I'm familiar enough with the software you're using but not enough to remember exactly where the close session is.
I believe Nero has a trial version you can use too. It's way better than adaptec. It sounds like if you can access some but not all, are you recording multiple sessions? I know in some cases with audio, using multiple sessions, only the first one will be read by a cd player.
