I will agree it's a shame, but you get a decent deal. the cable + stereo headphones + the softeware for 30 bucks. At least they ain't raping you too bad. The stereo headphones sell for 30 bucks on their own, go figure
You can hack the phone and use Bluetooth to xfer music, well you can on most Moto Verizon phones. Only problem there, you need the USB cable to actually perform the hack.

Anyone who has a friggin digicam has that cable. It's a very simple/common miniusb to usb cable (A to B).

Generic Moto cables can be had via eBay for a couple dollars and there is free software available too. The drivers are are readily available by googling. However, Bluetoof adapters can be had cheap and make it less of a hassle -no cable fiddling obviously but the transfer ability is built into the BT software. The BT software could be a bit fiddly to setup the first time (mainly just be sure to disable Windows' default BT inf to avoid Microsoft's subpar stack being installed). Google for guides, etc.

are you sure it's not a bit different on the tip? I know it's just a Mini-USB, but my GF's RCA Lyrca uses a slightly different miniusb cable, where her DigiCam one won't work. My Moto Q has the same crap her Lyrca does, I find it very annoying, I think they did it to make more money. Knowing Motorola and how greedy they are, I wouldn't doubt they use the different one. But I could be wrong, and correct me if I am![]()

Okay, I bunged the file name I have into teh goggle and there were a bunch o' hits but I just confirmed this one works (scroll down to the sixth post #1386). Yeah, I could have provided the direct file link but you may find the thread useful... especially as you will prolly have to choose some "P2K" software to make use of the drivers.
Thanks for the link, the software worked great!Originally posted by: Xyclone

P2KCommander 3.2.6 (I think) is the best program/version. It's in the link I gave before.
