Need help with Raid

I have raid 0 set up, jumpers are set, it's setup in bios, and states that it's functionable, but my system still reads as two hard drives, I'm using two western digetal 40 gig hard drives, can someone please help me out.

There is a jumper on Soyo Dragon boards for the RAID adapter. One is set to act as a standard ATA100 conroller and the other is to set it as a RAID adapter. Check you manual for the jumper setting.

Jumper both drives to master and place one on EACH of the IDE RAID motherboard connections. (each drive gets a 40pin/80 wire cable)

Go into the raid bios and set up for raid0 stripe.

choose stripe size.

Save changes and reboot PC.

Partition and format them to one big C: if you wish.

how do I partition and reformat in windows xp. do I need to use windows 98 startup disk to do fdisk?
