I have some old stuff that I want to turn into a little server. I was thinking about getting this Lian-Li case:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProdu...1-112-024&catalog=7&manufactory=BROWSE&depa=0
and getting the Promise SX6000 ATA RAID controller:
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=16-102-006&depa=0
and the 550 watt Antec TruePower power supply.
This is what I have to put in it:
ASUS CUSL2-C mobo
1GHz P3
512MB PC133 RAM
Pioneer DVD ROM
Plextor CDRW
GeForce2 Ultra
NIC Card
3.5" Floppy Drive
1 ATA hard drive just for the OS
+ Promise RAID controller with 6 ATA drives attached
+ however many fans I can fit in there
I'm concerned that the case might be a little too small and not have adequate cooling ability. Also I would like to know people's opinions and experience regarding hooking all that stuff up to that size power supply. Thanks for any help!
