been bored and got pokemon on my ipod. i was wondering if it's a good idea to level my one pokemon (charmander) instead of switching it out with other pokemon to level them all at once. I think that i can just catch stronger pokemon later on instead of leveling all these weak ones - but what are your opinions?
(I haven't played pokemon for around 10 years, so i don't remember any strategy)

thanks

at the beginning it doesn't matter. Which pkmn version do you have? Check out the infos online for each pkmn, there aren't many good ones worth lvling till like 40. IE Pidgy and Ratatta don't do much.

i have fire red (i would've gotten my oldschool red/blue versions but i don't think those roms work for the gba emulator on the ipod touch)

actually you should level a few pkmn evenly i.e pidgey and magikarp (buy it from the guy if you can) leveling up as you go along will be useful because they get powerful by the time you're around level 20's. Stall leveling your primary one so that by lvl 34 you can evolve them twice by lvl 36. They learn moves earlier if you keep them at a pre-evolved state.
