Need help with pics, misrendering

I've been having a problem on my machine for a while, and I can't figure out what could be causing it.

Everyone once in a while, about once a day on random pics, the pic only gets half rendered. I know how they are compressed and whatnot, so the symptom makes sense, I just don't understand the cause. And I can come back to the pic a few days later, and it will render properly... But if the pic is in a forum, say someone's sig, and they have multiple posts in a thread, every sig pic in the thread is corrupt, while all the other pics are fine.

I'm 100% sure it's my machine, because when it happens, I've gone to the same pic with a different machine, and everything is fine. Happened to my BF2 sig pic today, and I can't figure it out still. My pic rotates between 4-5 pics:

See what I mean?

Any idea how to fix it?

Specs:
AMD 64 3000+
2 dual SATA drives
7800 GTX
2gb Patriot PC3200

the different machine uses a lot of different hardware and drivers too right? would updating your 7800 gtx drivers to the latest fix it?

Since it's actualy garbled in the screen shot, more than likely it's a video card problem.
If it was garbled on the screen, but not in the screen shot, then it wouldn't be a video card problem.

Have you tried a differant version of the drivers? Made sure the PCIe power connector is in all the way? Checked your GPU temps and made sure the fan is spinning on the video card to see if it's overheating?

I'm on my fourth or fifth set of drivers...

I was thinking it was the video card too, but find it odd that if the same pic is posted 5 times, everyone is rendered incorrectly the same way... But a few days later it's fine.

Bad Albatron.

I'll make sure I've got the lastest of the latest, and also paruse Albatrons forums (if any) to see if anyone else is having problems.
