I'm not sure how to figure out these problems

1) A 25kg block is held against a compressed spring and then the spring is allowed to uncompress giving the block a velocity. The block slides to the right and then up an incline. Find the distance that the block goes up the incline if it is inclined at an angle of 15 degrees, all surfaces are frictionless, the spring constant is 1200 N/m and the spring compression is 16.4 cm.

2) A block is allowed to slide down a frictionless incline of 15degrees and then it encounters a frictional surface with a coefficient of kinetic friction of .19. Find the position where the block stops on the horizontal frictional surface if the block has a mass of 23 kg and the length of the incline is 18.4 m. (Use energy considerations to solve this problem)

3)The following system is created to measure the coefficient of kinetic friction of a given surface. A 15kg block is pressed against a spring with a spring coefficient of 1000N/m and a compression of 25 cm. If the block compresses the spring only 17 cm on the return trip, find the coefficient of kinetic friction for the 1 m section of material.

Thankyou so much for your help

1. Use the spring constant and spring compression to find the potential energy stored by the spring.

This is converted to kinetic energy (assuming no friction as you stated)

Then, on the inclined plane, convert it to potential energy and solve for h... Use trig to find the distance on the plane's surface.
