Guys, I'm a Canadian and I recently opened a PayPal account. However, I don't have any money in it. Apparently, to transfer money from my bank account to my PayPal account, I need to get them some account details but it only accepts US bank account information.

My question is this: If I sell something and ask for PayPal, will the PayPal money go to my PayPal account, thus enabling me to use it? Remember, I do live in Canada so consider this when answering. Please let me know on this.

Thanks greatly in advance,
Roy

PM me your paypal email and I'll "beam" you a little test amount to see how it works.

I recently bought something on eb@y from a canadian seller, I paid via Paypal. I used money in my paypal account to pay for it. It was only like $5. But the next day my account was restricted due to possible unauthorized credit card use. I don't know if the 2 are related or not. but I thought I'd throw that out there. let me know if you had any problems accepting money from out of the country or paying for an auction to a non-US seller.

Hi,

International accounts can only pay via credit card at this time.

However, Canadian users are expected to be able to add their bank accounts (within a week or so) and will be able to facilitate transactions in that manner.

Paypal in Canada works fine. You have to currently use a Credit Card.

I know from experience, PayPal and MasterCard do not like each other. You will have problems setting up a MasterCard/PayPal/International account.

Things work real nice with Visa.
