I was gone all weekend and i normally leave my computer on all the time crunching SETI and on direct connect. It is usually 100% reliable. I came home yesterday from being gone for 2 days and the computer was off. So i turn it on and it runs for about 3 seconds and then turns off.... so i unplug the power cord, and plug it back in, then repeat, with the same result. So i dont have the manual for the board and i figured i should clear the CMOS. I pop out the battery for a few seconds and then put it back in, and now it wont even power on at all. I'm thinking the battery may have been damaged by me taking it out or it is just bad. Either way i bought a new power supply and motherboard. I tired the current board with a diffrent power supply after taking the battery out and it wont power on. I reseated the cpu and ram, also the video card. I tried a PCI video card and some other things, I'm drawing a blank for the most part right now.
None of the components smelled burned or anything like that and the cpu and ram look ok....
Any help, Ideas or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks - Mark
