Does anyone know what a repeating high and low error sound signifies? The tones are the same length and alternate between a high pitch and then a low pitch sound for as long as I have the power on.
The tones started after I reassembled a functioning P3_600E, Asus P3V4X, and 128M PC133 after installing two 120mm fans and an Alpha P3125 heatsink. FWIW, the manual seems to indicate the problem is due to the mobo not detecting the memory, but I know it worked before and the error sounds whichever slot I stick the ram in. =(

Help anyone???

Does the motherboard detect fan speed? Perhaps the new fans are out of spec from the settings in the bios? I dont have my P3V4X yet so this is just a wild guess...or the processor is not fully seated due to the size of the Alpha?
