Need help with overclocking utility

I am running a Intel i3 530 Dual core 2.93Ghz, and I'm trying to use an overclocking utility known as EasyTune6 to overclock my cpu to 3.3Ghz

When I look in my system properties, and DXDiag, it displays my CPUs as
2.93 ~ 3.30, and when I am looking at my core temperatures, I notice that there is a 15c Degree difference in the cores.

Does this mean that my CPU can only overclock 1 core, or that the utility I am using is not sufficient?

My motherboard is a Gigabyte H55M-USB3

The reason it states two different speeds in DXDIAG is because one is the rated stock(2.93) while the second(3.3) is the actual speed.

And for the differences in temps amongst the cores, that's somewhat normal. Each core isn't given the same load, and each core makes a different amount of contact with the heat spreader which results with different temps. Your 15c delta is a little high, so you might want to re-mount the cooler and make sure your TIM is applied correctly.

Thanks a lot for the info 🙂

I'm sorry I was under the impression h55 boards didn't overclock and you needed to step up the p55 chipset in order to do so. Thanks.
