Hi,
I have an abit nf7-s v2.0 and amd athlon xp 2100+, kingston pc3500 and radeon 9800pro. I got everything installed. I was able to adjust multiplier, fsb and everything else. Does this mean my cpu in unlocked? However, I can't get the fsb past 147!!!! What a joke right.. Can someone help? I was thinking about the L12 mod and modded bios. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

If you can adjust the multiplier in the BIOS, then yes, the chip is unlocked.

Have you tried raising the chip voltage up 0.1v or 0.15v from the default? As you OC, the chip usually needs more voltage to remain stable.

What multiplier are you running with the FSB of 147? Generally, it's best to use the combination that provides the highest clockspeed (ie, FSB x Multiplier), but you always want to use the highest FSB possible.

Thanks for the reply. I cranked the voltage to 1.825v to get stable. The multiplier I used was 13x. Does that help? But I read everywhere and people are getting 200+ fsb.

at 1.825, you really need to watch your temps. what heatsink are you using? also, the people getting 200+ fsb are generally either on barton chips, which have a stock fsb of 166, or xp mobiles, which are simply overclocking animals.

at 1.825v my load temp is 46c under slk-900 with thermaltake fan @4500rpm!!! Are there any tricks for me to get higher than 147fsb?

Hi all,
After doing the L12 mod, I can get the fsb to 153mhz max now. However, I also found out that the multiplier is lock at 13x!!!! Where can I get info on unlocking this processor to get different multiplier? I think it could go higher if I can adjust it. Thanks
