Hey guys whats up, im New to this forum, but hopefully someone can Give me a solution to this problem im having.
My system specs are
Mb: Asus A7V600-X
CPU: AMD 2400+ 2.0ghz 133fsb (STOCK)
Ram: OCZ Platnum 512 ddr400
PS: Antec True Power 330w
HD: 2 Western Digital 60gigs/ 40gigs
Fans 1 90mm, 2 60mm
The problem i am having is When i Run my CPU at 166fsb which has been done with no probs and 2.153 gigz or higher and Vcore 1.76 or higher, It will work fine for hours while Playing CS ect.. but If i run a Virus Protection program (bitdefender/norton) The Computer either locks up while 50% done with the scan, or I Hear One or both of the HD's Turn off cant pinpoint if its both or not the comp restarts itself HD's turn back on and its fine. My guess is The Power Supply im using, only has 17a on the 12v. Or just a bad apple CPU that just wont run 166fsb stable for more than 15hours. So i already ordered a OCZ modstream 450w and a 6600gt 😉 Right now i Put the FSB back to 133 and im running 2.2ghz @ 36d Idle 1.76vcore. If you know what else the problem might be please help me out
