Need help with Nvidia Custom Resolution

can anyone help me out here I'm kinda clueless to this whole timing change thing
I've played around with powerstrip before with no success

ok here's what I got

Vista x86
Mitsubishi WD-57831 24Hz,30Hz,60Hz 1080P, native resolution 1920 x 1080
Geforce 8200 with HDMI, driver 175.19

so I'm connected using HDMI,

the TV sees the signal as 1080P, resolution is set to 1920 x 1080
but I get huge overscan issue at this resolution, the resize desktop option doesn't really work because the smallest resolution (bottom slider all the way left, right slider all the way down) already has overscan

when I set the resolution to 1768 x 992, I get underscan, black borders all around.
ok so how should I get start on the custom resolution?

or should I just give up on nvidia and go with ATI?

Thanks!
