Planning on building a new computer. What do you all think about this set up? Thanks. Appreciate the help.

Note in the future I may decide to get another 7950 for quad sli - but not to start.
Also i am going use my old optical and floppy drive.

Very nice setup. I hope you have some bangin speakers to compliment your sound card investment. I would also suggest upping your HDD space, or even getting a raptor 10k HDD in there Also, maybe a different heatsink than the stock Intel. If only I could kick this booze habit :beer: , I might be able to afford such a machine.

Ive heard this mobo cant run sli - i saw there is a mobo now that is sli and duo compatible but there were some comments about how the fsb is lower because its nforce4. Any thoughts on that.

Get the Asus P5W DH Deluxe motherboard instead of the Asus P5B Deluxe. It'll cost about $20-$30 more but if you want Crossfire compatibility, it's the best there is right now.

EDIT : I just noticed your video card. The Asus P5W DH motherboard might not support that card. You might end up being stuck with an Nvidia chipset if you get that card.

Well, you were wrong again in your edit, lol. The 7950GX2 will work with ANY motherboard that has a PCI-e x16 slot.
