Need help with Networked Printers!!!!

your saying the hubs could be bad even though some printers work and some dont!

yes, that's very possible. Hubs are not as efficient and not as good as switches in recieving, seperating and distributing data properly.

I'd definitely try the printers on different ports of the switches. Also, I'm assuming you're printing on the client pc's through a standard TCP/IP port....did you change that on the pc's when you changed the printers' IPs?

i did not change anything on the client PC, just the IP configuration on one printer, left the other one, trial and error.

Uh...you're not going to be able to print to the one you changed unless you reinstall the printer on the clients with the correct IP address. Can you ping the printers?

I have not went in and reinstalled it though, I will try that tomorrow!

MacaroneePenguin, i did what you said, and it still does not work!

The printers print fine, when I print the font or configuration pages from the printer menu, but nothing else,

Now one or two more printers have started not working!

Sorry it didnt work. The other ones that has stopped working, can you tell if they are connected to the same HUB?

no! It has been changed back, and I can ping it!

I outsourced it to the idiots who made our server crash in the first place!
