Killeruk, did you follow anyone's suggestions? Especially the one from pelikan? If not, do it. Until you try reinstalling it we can talk about it until our typing fingers fall off and your problem still won't be fixed. So, follow the simple steps pelikan outlined, including the four pads on the bottom corners of the heatsink. I'd like to add a couple of things to the instructions - since it is a _reinstall_ and not a _new install_ - when you remove the heatsink look at the bottom and see what kind of imprint the CPU makes in the heatsink compound. Too much is not good. Incomplete coverage of the CPU core is not good. The worst (and suggested also by pelikan) is if you see an imprint of one edge of the CPU that squeezed out all the compound and the opposite edge with plenty of compound underneath. This suggests improper installation. The other thing is to make sure that the fan is blowing air down (I think that's the proper way with this heatsink).

I know what i have done wrong. I feel like such an ass. I have got a Vantec Nexus panel thing to read my temps. Well.....the temp sensor, which i attached to the bottom of my heatsink, must have been raising the hs off the core of my processor. So i took it off, and now i get temps like......at idle 35c and at full load 42c. Thanks u guys for all the help and info. I am now going to kill myself for being soooo stupid.

Thanks again.

Hi Killeruk.
Not stupid, just a learning curve.
The wisest and most experienced people sometimes overlook things.
Regards.

Glad your problem is solved.
