After following the o/cing steps in the thread here, I managed to get a stable 270 x 3 with my Corsair VS running at 2:3 multiplier giving me DDR360. Two days back I rebooted my machine to install the new Forceware 81.94 for my 7800 GT and the machine refused to POST. I had to reset my bios for the machine to start. Thinking that the system is not able to handle the overclock(strange!!!), I lowered to 250 x3 and 4:5 multi and tried again. It booted fine and I went in to play NFS:MW. in Game I got a crash with the screen stuck and lot of artifacts on the screen. I did a cold reboot and again the system failed to POST. Once again I reset my bios and am now running everything at default speeds. Is my CPU forked???? Its only 2 weeks old, should I send it back and get a new one while I can or is something else the problem?

do you have another video card you can put in to see if that may be causing a problem suddenly? artifacts are normally a product of an error with the video card, IE temps too high, etc. BTW, what are your GPU and CPU temps like?

Boy, that sounds like a memory problem. If you can get it to boot with the default settings, I'd run memtest86 to see if there were any errors. I'd also make sure all the cards and memory are properly seated. How's you power supply? Maybe that's giving you fits.
