I installed AGP Driver and IDE Driver and i have some problems. I have Fast Writes not supported and when i did Sandra File System Benchmark, i got only 13000 Drive Index with Maxtor 7200 rpm ATA/133 40 GB HDD. I will welcome any help.
Excellent point. I think that sometimes we power users get a bit too wrapped up in benchmarks. Remember, Sandra is totally synthetic and doesn't measure real world speed.
Is your hardrive running by itself (on it's own ide port) or with something else? Other secondary or slave devices can slow it down. Sandra may not detect fast writes enabled, even with enabled in the bios.
I just ran this bench and got only 8000, getting worried. With a seagate barrucuda IV 40gb 7.2rpm @ ata100, i was shocked. I always felt that my hdd performance was slow. Oh well.
I have my my HDD on its own IDE channel. But there is other BAD thing about my mobo:
When I set FSB higher than 125 MHz and restart, computer turn monitor in suspend mode and I can't do anything. It also blocks power and reset buttons, so i must unplug it and reser CMOS !! Anyone knows where is the problem ?

Uhla, update your bios to fix that problem where u can't reboot if u set your fsb too high. And as for my slow ide performance, i have a seagate barrucada IV 7200 rpm 40gb on a ata100 standard ribbon cable on dma mode 5 on the primary ide channel as the master drive, with no other drives on that channel. Can anyone help?
