hi guys
this is the config am planning to buy

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (Wolfdale 2c) LGA 775 socket

Western digital hdd

antec 550 watt powersupply

i am completely lost on which motherboard to buy ,my budget for motherboard is upto 170-180 us $.i would prefer an asus ,msi or gigabyte motherboard

What to buy depends entirely on what you intend to do with the rig and what kind of feature set meets your requirements.

Gigabyte UD3R or P for future plans if you can deal with issues coming out of sleep mode. If you don't think you'll go quad on 775lga, any P45 board will be good for Crossfire & Overclocking, but if you really want a solid solid quad overclocking board, look at none other than the UD3R or P; don't waste your money on expensive boards.

i think i,ll go for gigabyte UD3R,since it gives me the option of going quad.
