I setup a small network in this guys house, I used the wrt55ag. Its the new A+B wireless router. The prolbem is that it seems that the DHCP server just shuts down. I have to reset the router everytime this happens. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this before and/or if they have any fixes for it.

I have multiple problems with Linksys gear (i.e., disconnects, resets, etc.) and finally replaced them all with Netgear which has been working fine ever since. Sorry that I can't help with the problem at hand because my best guess was also upgrade the firmware.

Its not running out of addresses. There is only 4 computers. I think I'm going to hard code the addresses in there but it just pisses me off that its not working right.

Ill tell you a relavent story. I had the Befsrv41 the 4 port router from linksys. I had the exact problem connection going in and out etc. I gave the router to a friend he has 0 problems. But my neighborr just bought one and he's having the same problems i did! linksys is good but perhaps looking else where(siemens for example) would be a better option. I own a seimens powerline router and it kicks ass

I had that same router -- it just wouldn't work right with the particular cable modem I was trying to hook it up with. An equivalent Netgear router worked flawlessly, and the Linksys worked fine on my network but not the one I was trying to install it on. They just have problems with their DHCP implementation in some of their equipment, apparently.
