Taking a LISP class next semester, and want to get a big jump on it. Any sites or books you can recommend? Normally, I would just buy the books early, but my friends at Berkeley tell me that most professors don't finalize their book lists untill 1 week (or worse) before the start of school.

VERY old thread resurrected by spammer.

I thought if you had a lispo you wanted to get rid of it. Now they have classes to get a LISP?:Q

I'm sure this is just a way for liberals to make the lisping youth of america feel better about themselves!

we learned that for 1 week in my intro to comp sci class. We were expected to know how to program in it after 1 week. I didn't go that week.

Lisp is fun. You'll never do so much with so little code. It doesn't seem to have much practical use. When I had lisp, we used an O'Reilly book. Lisp in a Nutshell maybe?

HP used RPL for their calculators. I had a lot of fun programming those.
