Need help with LCD screen

I yanked an LCD screen from an old non-functioning laptop a while ago. I finally have time to play with it, but I can't seem to find much information about it. The model is an LG Electronics LCA4SE01A but also says Goldstar F67032-A on the other side. I searched LG Electronic's web site as well as the internet without any luck.

Basically, my question is does anyone know about any resources that can help me figure out how to use the screen? It has two connectors, one four pin, and one fifty pin. I'd like to somehow convert this to use as a computer screen or even as a video screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if this is posted in the wrong forum, I apologize in advance.

Thanks,
dave

This seems to pop up every so often. Converting a laptop screen to work with another laptop or as a monitor is no easy task. I bought a screen off ebay before I knew this. I also was unable to get any info on it at all. That is why they are usually so cheap on ebay. they can only be used with that laptop it came from.

the drivers for the LCD's are built into the mainboard of the laptop, and without propritart information from the company who made it, a conmversion is next to impossable.

Try this: E-mail the company who made the laptop and see if you can get info on the digital outs. From that you will be able to build a converter. The problem is companies concider this propritary information, and really don't give it out.

Good luck!
