i'm very new to home networking and i'm gettin pissed!
i've read online articles but few have been helpfull...my basic problem is that the internet connection sharing won't work...i am using netbeui to network my 2 systems together (just using nics and a crossover cable) and file sharing is fine, but i have a feeling that if i could set up tcp/ip properly my ics troubles would go away...could someone please either give me a link to a GOOD article on setting up a tcp/ip only lan, or post general address to use for subnet mask, gateway, etc...?
additional info: both systems are running win98se and my internet is comcast@home cable...i have a realtek (dlink) ethernet card for the @home service and 2 identical olicom nics for the lan...
any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
