Ok, I downloaded the files and made the cd's. Everytime I get to the point in the installation that says "Preparing to reboot and continue installation." It sits there for a while then gives multiple lines that says "WARNING: /tmp: File system full, swap space limit exceeded."

Any ideas??

Sounds to me like it cannot properly initialize your HD Controller... Are you sure that it is supported by Solaris 8???

I think we have a winner. Your chipset is probably not supported.

I ran into the same situation trying to install Solaris on my i810-based Dell. I did get in one good install on a BX-based Dell.

Alright guys I finally got it installed. Now does anybody know how to configure the network settings once you're in the common desktop environment? I tried to configure during installation, but that obviously didn't work. I'm trying to connect to our network here at work, which is strictly NT, with exchange servers. Is it even possible for me to get network access from the Solaris box?
