need help with in car DVD + LCD in the car please!

due to my cd player not working with MP3 cds...i decided to buy a DVD player that can!


i am still going to keep my CD player since it has cool features and looks awesome, but i want to be able to play MP3 and DVD cd's as well...


so, my question to everyone is this:

i found this and i was wondering if you think this looks like a good deal. if you look around the page...it seems a little fishy to me, but maybe thats just my shopping "sense" coming into play. it has 2 inputs and a remote...ME likes!

i found this dvd player on the same site. this thing looks sweet. it is the mp-2 and there is 1 better..then mp-9, but i dont see a need for that. it is more expensive and doesnt do much better. you wont be able to see this DVD player because i am installing it under the middle seat (i have a 99 RAM). i guess this looks ok and it has another RCA input..ME likes!

i got this to make the sound work with the CD player for the music to come out of the speakers in the car

what do you guys think? if this stuff sucks, PLEASE let me know! i know a lot about electronics but ive never bought anything like this before, so more information would be just SUPER 🙂
 
One problem....if you are intending to plug the DVD player into your current head unit (sony right?) you're going to have a few problems, I think. Generally, the auxillary inputs in the back of the sony head units, at least in mine, only accept other sony products, unless you buy a special adapter. Maybe they've changed it, or I could just be way off, that happens sometimes, but you might want to check into it.

i dont understand what you mean...

i dont even need to plug anything into the head unit besides the sound. i am going to do that with the FM modulator thingy (think thats what it is called). other than that, everything will be independant of the head unit.

yeah thats me. i dont plan on doing this any time soon though. when i start school again i am getting a job to cut grass, which hopefully will take up some of my saturday morning time (which would require the use of my truck)

if you read that last part of my thread...i got through to them (almost).

and, i got a better alarm 🙂 the new auidovox alarm with an LCD remote



i dont wanna bring this up though. that problem is getting better. i just want to focus on this.
