I can not get my card/computer to go higher than 1024 X 768. When I set it higher, the screen goes "haywire". Shouldn't I be able to set the res higher?

I have the OEM Hercules Geforce2MX with 7ns memory. The Hercules 5.3 drivers appear to be properly installed.

Also, how do I overclock the memory. Do I need to down load any software?

Thanks!

What monitor do you have, install latest monitor drivers this should fix the problem unless you have a 14" monitor that will not go higher. To overclock your card download the utilites program from utilites section here .note it`s for WIN95/98 & use the standard Nvidia reference drivers.Btw on your hercules software see if there is slide bar to adjust ram speed ,memory etc, if you have this you can just move it over to a faster position to overclock so will not need the above software. If you do use the above software for Nvidia reference drivers make sure you uninstall hercules drivers/software first.

My monitor is a 19" Gateway EV900. Anybody know what the max res is for this monitor? Maybe it just a crappy monitor?

I found the overclocking sliders on the Hercules software. I took it up to 190 and don't see any problems. Do I need some benchmarking software to verify it is working okay?

Thanks,

Brian

Everything is solved now. Reloaded the driver for the monitor and go to 1600X1200. I can also overclock the card. I got 4834 on 3dmark at 200/200. Is this average for a hercules geforce2 mx?

Thanks for all the help.

Brian

That score sounds about right. I got like ~4700 on 3dmark with the same ProphetMX (7ns) at 220/210. My cpu is an older Athlon @ 787mhz on a K7M.
