Update: I took apart my system and re-built it in a new case, re-did the tubing, and sold my Corsair RAM. I ended up getting the black Xoxide UFO case (http://xoxide.com/xoxide/ufo.html), and since it is so large, was able to load it up with fans, extra radiators, and a 2nd power supply. Needless to say my temps are a whole lot better, my voltages more stable, and the computer... "more gooder"
I ended up getting the PC P&C PSU for the main board/processor/Video cards and am using the Enermax PSU for the hard disks, all of the case fans, the cd roms, and the water pumps.
I sold the 4 sticks of corsair on ebay and ended up getting a set of the crucial ballistix ram. Much better. Thank you for the suggestion.
My temperatures are now down to around 30oC idle and 42-43oC under maximum prime95 load. So it's a good 10oC cooler than before, which is good. This of course leads to Overclock improvements, however I'm sort of at a stopping point and don't know where to go from here... Current settings
(Quick System Review... A8N-SLI Deluxe, 2x 1GB Crucial Ballistix sticks, FX-57, 2x XFX 7800GTX, 2x WD Raptors, sb x-fi, dual-line watercooling setup [video seperate from chip/bus])
3.08ghz
4x HyperTransport
220 HTT
14x Multiplier
CPU Voltage 5.125V
Ram at 200mhz 3-3-3-8 1T at 2.8V
PCI-E Speed at standard 100mhz
C&Q off, normal SATA channels off (HDDs on the silicon image raid controller), pretty much all other MB settings disabled like serial ports, sound card, midi, etc which I don't need.
I was able to run prime95 for 24 hours at this configuration with no problems and temperatures never got above 43oC. So I thought... excellent, I still have a lot of room to grow. Yet I am still sort of a noob at OC-ing so I'm not sure what to change from here.
I have tried lowering the multi to 13 and upping the HTT near 240 but that ends up failing in prime95. I tried the same settings and upping the CPU/Ram voltages a notch but that didn't work either. Temps still fine... I'm not really sure where to go next, but I'd say based on my voltages and temperatures that I could get more out of this right?
I'd apprecaite any suggestions you can give.
