need help with excel!

I'm having problem with the autofilter command on excel.


example of my worksheet:
row 1: (*) aaaaaa
row 2: bbbbbbb
row3(*)aaaaaa
row4 bbbbb
.

.
etc
etc
.
..

when I activate the auto filter for (*), it filters correctly for row 1 to 100. it will show:
row1(*)aaaa
row3(*)aaaa
row5(*)aaaa
row7(*)aaaa
row9(*)aaaa
row11(*)aaaa
etc
etc

at row 101 however, it'll still show:
row 101: (*) aaaaaa
row 102: bbbbbbb
row103(*)aaaaaa
row104 bbbbb
etc
etc

trying to figure out why it would not filter at all for these cells. any ideas or possible solutions?

Are you clicking the column headers so that it selects every row in the column before clicking autofilter? This isn't a programming issue BTW.
