I am applying for an EMBA and have to write a couple essay. I hate writing essay but I am looking for any good pointers. One of the essays is the typical interview question, What are your ultimate career objectives? My ultimate career goals are to make a hell of alotta money but that wouldn't come across as a good thing. Any suggestions?

Ha, thats kind of funny since most of the work done at the school is in groups of 4-6 people.

I am going with the typical wanting to be in a leadership role up in top management.

Actually it would be nice to make a ton of money but I would be very happy to make enough so that the wife wouldn't have to work and can stay home with the kids and hopefully be able to pay for their college.

(a) Which school(s) are you applying to?
(I graduated from a top b-school)

(b) In reply to your request for a suggestion: Take a different attitude.

No offense, but somehow your question sounds like you'd ccalculate & pitch them whatever you think they'll want to hear, instead of what's true for you. That's shifty, calculating, avaricious, disrespectable, dishonest, unworthy.

Write your essay based on what's true for yourself, then courageously succeed or fail based on the merits of that. In your writing, honestly reflect some deep self-understanding & insights you've gained through life.
