I'm having a weird problem. When ever i turn it on or do a soft reboot, i get a blank screen. I have to use the reset button to kinda wake it up. When i turn it on the diag LEDs just show FF, they don't cycle through the other stuff, but if I press the reset button it will cycle and work fine. I've updated the BIOS and tryed resetting the CMOS and stuff, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

I had a very similar problem. It would go directly to FF. Black Screen. Turned out to be a bad stick of memory.

turned out to be the netgear network card. Linksys ones work fine.

I had the same problem except I couldn't get past the FF, turned out to be a bad northbridge.

I had this problem on two occasions.

1) DOA Athlon XP1900+. No amount of resetting got it to work
2) With a working Athlon 1.4ghz, and an Intel modem installed, whenever I powered the machine on the SECOND time after it was plugged in, I got an FF, and unable to reboot. If I connected the power cable (or flipped the switch on the PSU), the first bootup went fine. If I rebooted from the OS, or via CTRL-ALT-DEL, it warm-booted fine. But it couldn't "lukewarm-boot", I guess. :)

Otherwise, without that modem, it was the most trouble-free setup I've ever had. Running at stock speed helped, though. :p
