need help with email

I'm using outlook express on windows XP. I'm trying to use 2 email addresses with it, one my hotmail address via HTML and the other, my website email (neal@cameraguy.net) via pop3. Using ATTBI's smtp server.

So hotmail works fine, I can send, recieve, no problem. Using my cameraguy.net address, I can send stuff out fine and its recieved, but when I go to send/recieve all, I have problems. The problems is that outlook express says it detecting new messages, getting the headers, etc etc etc...basically acting like it is downloading them but its not. Using my website's webmail feature, I can verify that outlook express is going in and getting the messages and clearing them off my server, but when I look for the messages locally they are nowhere to be found.

Am I making sense? Can anyone help me? 🙂

I've never dealt with HTML email before, so I'm unsure about this problem. Outlook Express does certainly have some odd things about it. Check in the local inbox folder to see if the messages are being downloaded there instead of to the HTML inbox folder.

The hotmail HTML mail isnt the problem, its my cameraguy.net POP3 mail that mysteriously dissapearing.

can you get the mail you are after, to forward to another address and retrieve it from there?

welll...I can always check it by webmail manually. I can confirm that mail is recieved to my inbox when after OE downloads it dissapears and I can't even find it locally.

Hmm....I guess I can try! It's the one built in with windows XP so im not so sure how do it!
