I'm looking for card that will give me Video in and video out and tv tuner capabilities. The reasons are complex but those are my requirements. Can anyone recommend a particular brand/card? Anything will be much appreciated

The new Kyro II is supposed to have a VIVO available in a couple of weeks.. 169$ or less. Just FYI. I almost feel like I'm pushing this card. I just don't like the NVidia lack of competition.

I've heard about that. Problem is I already have a GeForce 2 MX ;) The Kyro II sounds realllly interesting and if it has VIVO well I may consider it. I've always been a fan of PowerVR chips as they are actually use different technology.

There's the Asus Geforce that has a TV Tuner, and the AIW Radeon. I think the Matrox Marvel too...

If you want the best compromise between video capture, TV tuner (with digital VCR capabilities), and 3D accelaration; look now further than the ATI All in Wonder Radeon. Just keep in mind you'll need a FAST system (at least 700mhz) to take full advantage of all the features of this card.

Also, there are some compatibility issues with some AMD configurations, so if you want a headache free installation, go with Intel.

(for all you AMD fans out there, don't flame me on this. I'd rather use AMD with this card too, just too many problems I've heard with the VIA chipset and Radeon's in general).

Oh, and as a bonus, it's the #1 card for DVD playback (hardware accelarated,'S' video out; also Dolby digital 5.1 output)

Hope this helps

The Radeon Vivo and Asus GeForce Deluxe series have Video in (Composite) and Video out (Composite or S-Video).

The Radeon AIW also has DVI (Digital Monitor) output and a TV-Tuner.
