im going to get a e6300, 7950gt, but the ram and mobo i dont know what to get.

im thinking about getting the evga nf4 mobo cause i can get it for about 100$, but im pretty clueless on what mobo to get, same with ram. ive got around 350-400 cnd to spend on ram and mobo.

and also im in canada, so i cant buy from most us retailers, and prices are a little higher.

im new to ocing, but id like to able to midly oc without changing the voltages that much (if at all)

Don't get nForce 4. Go with something like a P965 chipset. The ASUS P5B-E is a great buy.

For memory, anything DDR2 667 or DDR2 800 with decent latencies will do. Memory prices have dropped a bit, so you don't need to spend $350+ on 2GBs of memory to get something that will overclock more than 50MHz.

cursethesky has it right. forget the nforce4. i would go with a 965x/975x or the nforce 6 series. same with the memory, 1GB and 2GB are cheap now. i also would get at least DDR2-667 memory, so your OCing potential will be higher.

the board and memory in my sig are excellent together. got my pentium D 930 up to 4.1Ghz stable. and the memory voltages stay below 2.3v. but since C2D cpus start at a 266FSB, you'll get a much better overclock.

p5b doesnt have certain features/stuff compared to the E. pretty sure because asus usually makes its mobos that way.
