Need help with boot disk trouble!

I have installed win2k in the past and I have never had this problem. I use 4 floppy boot disks to start the installation but this time I got an error when I put the first disk in and started the boot process.

After it started inspecting my computers hardware I got the error:

Disk I/O Error:status 00001000

NTDETECT Failed

I formatted the floppy and made the boot disk again thinking something might have been wrong with it but still same problem. Any help would be greatly apreciated! Thanks for your time.

Why are you using floppy disks to start the install?

W2k cd is bootable and will install upon boot. Just insert the cd, boot up and make sure cd-rom is the first boot device (in the bios). This will work, unless you are using a poorly-made bootleg copy.
