Need Help With Bit Torrent

So, I installed Bit Torrent and am trying to use it for the first time.

When I try to download something, Firefox asks if I want to open with app or save to location. I'm assuming I'm supposed to open with app and use bit torrent.

I then receive an error and it tells me to check the log. The log shows the following:

"Traceback (most recent call last):
File "btdownloadgui.py", line 3023, in ?
File "BitTorrent\controlsocket.pyc", line 134, in send_command_inet
BitTorrent.BTFailure: Could not send command: (10061, 'Connection refused')"

What does this mean?

I have also opened the specific ports for Bit Torrent in the router config. Anyone know what the hell I'm doing wrong?

which client are you using? Does this happen with every torrent you have tried to download?

I have tried 2 different ones. The client is Windows vers. 4.0.4.

I'm not too familier with places to test torrents at, so if you have one that you know works that I could test, that might help.

Installed the new beta version and seems to be working so far.

Get a more full featured client. Azureus and BitComet are probably the two most popular.
