The 'ol DFI manual shows pin #1 (good power) and any of the pin #'s 5,6,7,8.(ground).Your mileage may vary.

Assuming your talking about an ATX supply, the green wire in the power connector to any black (ground) wire. BUT, if you do not have a load on the +5v, the supply won't be stable (lets assume you are just powering a 12v peltier). You need special load resistors on the +5v line.

Thanks Guys...
Its a 480 W AT power supply... yes thats 480 w.. ancient as the world... anyway..i need it running to power the devices attaced to it ( 27 scsi cd-rom drives ) but not the mobo the system came with (its an old p120 AT), im replacing the mobo with a newer one (running a PII 333mhz) which will be running off a 250w ATX psu...I was not going to try to run all these drives off the 250...that would have been crazy.
