I have a P3B-F with a Elsa SDR Geforce video card. After the system enters suspend, or the monitor is turned off by APM, I can not get video back unless I reboot. I have tried various bios settings but nothing seems to help. I have resorted to disabling APM because of this problem. Is this a common problem? I have a very similar system with a Elsa SDR and an Intel SE440BX-2 board and the APM works flawlessly. Please help.

I suggest disabling all ACPI functions in Bios, except the "user define" one(s). In Windows, set your power scheme(in Settings~\Display)to "always on." You can select how long your box should wait to start the screensaver, put the monitor on Standby, and let the HDD's power down. The standby features have NEVER worked right for me, in OSR2/98 and 98SE. You don't say what OS you're using. If it's Win2K, my post doesn't apply. I have a P3B-F with an Elsa Erazor X as well.

I forgot to say that I am using win98se. I tried to play around with the various combinations in the bios and in Windows and I still can not recover video when the system tries to come back - black screen. Oh well, I will play around some more.
