Need Help with an ebay transaction!

Well i recently sold a Dell D820 on ebay for $375 shipped w/ Next Day Shipping. I sent the Laptop out with alot of padding and wrapped it around with bubble wrap. The Big Bubble Wrap. Everyone who recieved there items yesterday (i sent out more than 1 laptop. total of 3) says there laptop came in clean and no problems at all. I contacted everyone by phone. When i called him his mom picked up and said he no longer lives with them. I emailed him 3 times with no response. WTH should i do now? I called FedEx and they said since my sister did the shipping label they can only talk to her about filing a claim. Am i Effed up? or can i do somehting about it?

This is what i recieved fgrom him:

the computer is badly damaged. all the plastic is broken off one corner including the screen, the fan is exposed and tore up, the hinge is messed up, it's wrecked. If i get a camera i'll send pictures tommorrow.

Now how the hell did the fan get exposed? and how the hell did it get tore up? I have now a D620...same laptop just different size....and im looking at it thinking...how the hell did the fan get exposed or even tore up!?

*UPDATE*

i was having trouble getting the internet to work, i don't know if it's the fan or not but it's all bent up. I'll send you pics tommorrow as it's as quick as i can do it, the parts (casing that broke off) were all in the box. Any ideas on what they'll do? Half of me just wants to go ahead and deal with it as it seems to be working ok, but there are problems with it, the screen is bent pretty bad when it closes. Like I said I'll send the pics tommorrow and we'll work out a plan. Just kinda sucks that's all.

What does the FedEx tracking say? Was it delivered to the address? I assume you already have the money for the laptop?

I'm not really sure what the issue is here. :confused:

well fedex says its delivered. Paypal has my money on HOLD. I would need a positive feedback or wait 3 days for paypal to release the funds.

Why dont you tell him to ship the laptop back to you and refund him once you receive it back.

Well if you can't get in touch with the guy, it seems you have to wait the 3 days, then take your cash out. If not, then get your sister to file a claim.

There are 2 questions at the end and 1 beneath that, here let me put it in BOLD for you

Am i Effed up? or can i do somehting about it?

Now how the hell did the fan get exposed? and how the hell did it get tore up? I have now a D620...same laptop just different size....and im looking at it thinking...how the hell did the fan get exposed or even tore up!?

You guys care so much about perfect english...wow cmon, everyone types differently and hey everyone on this board isn't perfect. So while you guys are hoping for people to post threads with perfect english, be my guest, but im about to be out $400 and im not happy!

Do you have photos of the laptop, as well as when you placed it in the box? That's what I do when I ship valuable items.

Was the package insured?

Folks, the OP is saying she sold a laptop in good condition, and when the buyer opened the Fedex box the laptop was busted. Not too hard to figure out.

Because the OP thinks that there is no reason for the laptop to be as damaged as the buyer is claiming. Perhaps he is short of cash, or no longer wants it, and wants his $$ back. therefore, he deliberately damaged it.
