Hey I have had this combination for quite a while then about 2 monthes ago I tried to round the scsi cable. Turns out after I did that, it would no longer work. So Today I bought a new scsi cable and still it's not working!!! Here is the error message I get:

"Time-out failure during SCSI inquiry command!"

This is after like waiting a minute at the bios screen...

Anybody know what I should do?

Have u checked your termination?

Goto THIS LINKto get info about all that is SCSI.

I hope u find your prop. Try Adaptec support too, they have the reputation for good tech support(that is one of their reason for the high prices)😀

Just hit Ctrl+C go into Adaptec's BIOS and set everything to default and see what happen.

Therefore the ! represents a driver/hardware problem. Have you tried to uninstall and then reinstall the drivers?

😉

what i would do is go into safemode and remove it and put the scsi card into a different slot
if that fails
try it on another pc
if that fails the card is dead
just rma it

cheers,
