Need help with Access Point!

I need help with Access Point. I bought an access point and a wireless adaptter. I installed the adaptor in a computer. then hooked up the wireless access point to my wired network. I have a wired router hook up to a cable modem. But no matter how many times i tried, i couldn't get the comp with the wireless adapter to connect to the Internet. I already set it to "infrastructure mode" . But it still didn't work. So what do I need to do? please help, thx.
 
I already did those instructions , but I still can't get Internet access from the computer with wireless adapter. It got the signal, but the Internet doesn't work.
 
Put the dns that your isp gave you. Internal ip, would be the private side of your router, or another pc on your network. External would be the ip of any public PC(one on the internet).
 
I'm not sure how you'd disable it and still use tcp/ip, but bydisabling it youe wouldn't be able to resolve any names.. Did you try pinging external ips?
