need help with a sv24 and tv-out

Hi everyone 🙂

I must ask for help
I just built a few new boxes including one for my kids 🙂
Which is a shuttle sv24.
Great little box but the cooling sucks!
but comparied to my other boxes almost anything would 🙂

Now the question
I put a dvd drive in the computer so they could watch movies and I could get rid of my other dvd player
but on most of the kids dvd's that I have tried it tells me that they won't play because tv-out is enabled
on the computer??
All of my dvd's that I have tried work fine??

Anyone got any clue?
Is there a way to fix it :]

do you have the latest vga driver? and system bios?

yes to both of those
I had updated everything when I first installed the OS

then it just sounds like macrovision at work...

I guess that chipset doesn't support it...

anyone else with that system have it working?

at first thats what I thought also, but so far it has only been the kids movies that don't work
I have tried over a dozen movies
monty python ones
the James Bond box sets (all 3)
Matrix


I'm lost???

and all the kids movies were not disney
only a few of them are

Hi

Well I ended up upgrading it to win XP pro and finding the codec so windows
media player would play the dvd's and now everything works fine 🙂
