Need help with a Physics problem

Two pucks are attached by a stretechd spring and are initially held at rest on a frictionless surface. If puck I has 3 times the mass as puck II, which of the following quantities is the same for both pucks as the spring pulls the two pucks towards eachother?
A) Speed
B) Velocity
C) Acceleration
D) Kinetic Energy
E) Momentum

not sure about this one, i'm kind of leaning towards D, kinetic because of conservation of energy

what do yall think?

When they were at rest, the sum of their momenta is 0 (since v1 = v2 = 0). When they are moving, the MAGNITUDE of their momenta is the same, while the direction is opposite, giving you a net sum of 0.

I would go with E.

oh yeah, could you please explain why you chose that answer

the spring imparts the same force on each puck.

(force)*(change in time) = change in momentum

since each puck feels the same force for the same amount of time, they both should have equal momentum

I got in on the party late, but yea I agree
