Need help with a donation request

I'm writing a cover letter for a donation request. I coach Girl's softball and my wife has built and runs the concession stand for our field.
We need a small storage building, and we're applying to a few local builder supplies for help.
I'm drawing a blank with what to say in the cover letter (I don't feel good, and my vocabulary is fried for some reason).
Can anyone help out?

Do the stores you will be asking already support the girls softball league? If so, in what way(s)?
How many girls play in the league? How many teams?
What supplies are you asking for specifically? How big is the storage building going to be? Is the building going to be in an area that's already secure, or will it be located where anyone can get to it at any time? How much do you think (roughly) the building materials would cost? Who will be putting the storage building together?

I'll write you something if you answer the above.
