I bought a celeron 600@950 april of last year from the for sale forum here and it has been working fine until today.
It died on me I think, anyways, I am wondering how to identify if it is a retail CPU or OEM, and if it is retail, how do I find out
how much time does it have left on its warranty?

The next question is about CPUs in general, I have a BE6 working with the now dead celeron600, now i need to find a replacement. Can anyone tell me what is the highest cpu that the MSI master sloket will support?

If it's retail, it would have come with an Intel HSF.

You can check the S-Spec as well, although over the last 18 months or so, Intel has been using the same s-specs for both retail and OEM processors for certain speeds.
