need help with 5.1 setup using SB Audigy + monsoon mh-505 in win XP

I just got the monsoon MH-505 today and I hooked them up to my win xp box with a Sound Blaster Audigy sound card. I can't get the center channel to work when I play mp3s and dvds.

the only time it worked was when I did the test thing in the creative labs soundmixer

when I set it to digital all I get is a lot of static

I went to the speaker setup in the control pannel and set it to 5.1 but I'm not getting sound out of the center and rear 2 speakers. I double checked the wiring and everything is hooked up correctly.
