Hi.

Tough choice.

ASUS P4S533, or P4B533, or P4B533-V? Not considering any others.
I've already got a P4S333-VM which I'm fairly happy with, but this new board is going into another system. They say Intel chipset best for Intel CPU, is that the only reason why I should spend more on i845E chipset?

P4B533-V, that seems to be the Asus board of choice. The Intel chipsets pretty much rock.....🙂

If you are going to use DDR333 memory, go with P4S533. Not sure if the P4B533-V allows you to run the memory at DDR333 mode. If you want to stick with an Intel chipset, go with the Epox 4G4a(without raid) or 4G4a+(with raid). I know the Epox boards have the 4:5 memory setting.

Looks like the P4B533-V is the most popular one, since it is supposed to have the 4:5 memory setting.
