Get the Abit KT133 or the Asus A7V. You might want to checkout the 'A' versions too.

Abit KT7A RAID but opinons vary.

Asustek's A7V133 (if thats what is called) is Ok too. Basically stick to Abit and Asus with a KT133A chipset and you'll be laughing.

If you like challenges, the ABIT kt7 raid or the ABIT kt7a raid. On a scale of 1-10 for ease , it's a 8.5 if your going the raid route. I've fried a 1 gig T-bird and dropped a heat sink on the AGP slot for the week I've been tring to get it to work. Plus, if you've never used Norton Ghost, you'll become an expert. It is a nice board though, and will be suitable for a year or two at least.

The A7V133's looking real good right now, but wait for Anandtech to review it if you're not in too much of a hurry. In fact, if at all possible it's better to wait a few weeks and let all these radical technofiles get theirs first, then read these forums to learn of any problems and all the solutions before buying.

BTW: Asus website says of A7V133 that it's Promise RAID controller only provides RAID 0, but then goes on to say that this provides "redundancy". Is that just a mistake or typo? How can RAID 0 possibly provide any kind of redundancy? It can't, right?

Yes, but Raid 0 does not provide "redundancy", it just stripes data and if one drive fails you are out of luck big time. The only thing I can figure is Asus just made a mistake in that description b/c only raid 1 or 5 would be redundant. Or am I missing something?

I have built about ten systems for friends with the MSI K7T Pro 2-A - no complaints so far. Stable as a rock, and very easy to set up. No jumpers or dipswitches.

Get Abit KT7A-RAID. I have it running already 2 weeks with overclocked TB 1G to 1.2, with 6 controllers stuffed on it and perfectly functional RAID1 (I do uncompressed video on it). Both Win ME and Win 2000 installed on my system feel pretty comfortable so far. At first it took me some time to set up the motherboard, but it was not a big deal at all.
I bet that at least 1/2 of the people who claim problems with this mobo don't have enough hardware experience or just don't want to read.

Why does the MSI KT7 Turbo look like a killer board? Dosent look any better than the rest to me, its not the fastest. If i hear another Oh its the most stable board out there so that makes it the best Im gonna throw up LOL Besides MSI is a day late and a dollar short on releasing{ITS not even out yet} the turbo they lose 7 points just for that on my score board.
