Need help: what are my options for TV-out?

Hello.

I currently have a GF4 Ti 4200 video card without TV-out. I would now like to be able to send my PC output to my TV. What are my options?

- Is it possible for me to have two video cards -- the GF4 for general use (i.e., gaming), and a 2nd (cheap) card just for TV-out?
- Alternatively, will I need to completely replace the GF4 with one video card?

You can probably buy another pci card with tv out and use that. No need to completely replace your current card.

That would definitely be the optimal solution, as I'm certain it would be cheaper (so long as a PCI card with decent TV out can be had for a reasonable price). I guess I was worried about how the OS would handle that. I run Win2000, and I've never had a box with two video cards, so I don't really know how one would switch from one video card to another in Windows. Is it easy? Difficult?

I believe that in the Settings tab of Display properties, two displays will show up: one should be "Default Monitor on Geforce 4 Ti4200" and the other will be something like "Default Monitor on xyz chipset." From there, you could set the displays to clone each other you could set the 2nd display as an extension of the 1st.

You will get some more options under display. Win2k will be fine with 2 video cards. It has a bunch of stuff built in for that as well.
