The instruction at ?0x77f83a65? referenced memory at ?0x3b000008? the memory could not be ?written?

Why am I getting it and how do I get rid of it? (I searched google and Microsoft's Knowledge Base but didn't turn find anything.)

This error occurs when an application tries to read or write from memory which is not defined to it by the operating
system.

The application Rndal has a bug in it. The only way to fix the problem is to get the programmers to fix the bug and get a new version of the application without the bug in it.

This is happening on one of my client's systems. She says she just started getting the error message a couple of days ago. Which application is RNDAL associated with?

This error is classic in Windows 2k, I see it all the time from tons of apps.
I dont agree that the bug is in the app so much as it wants to do something the OS doesnt like.

The same app might work just fine under 95/98/ME or maybe even XP.

Try these few things:

Reapply the latest service pack
Uninstall and reinstall the software that is giving you the error.
Empty the temp folder on the PC.
